| We are digging the new ride. |
THURSDAY was a day of ramping up for our wedding festivities. With more friends and family arriving into town, and all of the details having been finalized, we could get down to even more fun and celebration. THURSDAY's theme: lake-based celebrations. People took advantage of the beautiful weather to go kayaking, swimming and boating out on Flathead Lake, and then the day was capped off with a Western-themed barbecue at the Hopkins house, a ride on a paddle-boat., and then smores by the bonfire to top things off. And, yes, the paddle-boat was one of more surreal, and yet spectacular parts of the whole weekend. We had a paddle-boat at our wedding thanks to the master craftsmanship, kindness, and goodwill of the Hopkins' neighbor, Chris. While I can recommend a number of great ways to see Flathead Lake, I am going to suggest that a paddle boat ride with 150 of your closest lake friends is by far the best.
